Smt. Kashibai Navale Medical College and General hospital is now equipped with 800 teaching beds, 74 ICU beds, 30 Casualty beds (including 5 OBGY Casualty beds). Named after the reverent mother of our founder president Prof. M. N. Navale, the hospital was started in the year 2006 with initial 300 beds and an outpatient department. In the last 8 years the bed strength has increased to almost three times the initial strength.
The Medical College which simultaneously started in September 2007, with an intake of 100 students for MBBS course, is affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nasik and has sanction from Medical Council of India, New Delhi. The first batch admitted in September 2007 had started their internship from Feb. 2012 which is now completed and the third batch of 99 students admitted in 2009, had appeared for their final MBBS exams. 75 students cleared the exam and started their internship from February 2014.
Our MBBS degree is duly recognized by Medical Council of India and also by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi. Post graduate courses in the subjects of Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology, Community Medicine, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic, Gynaecology, Anaesthesia, Radiology, dermatology, Pulmonary Medicine and Pediatrics are carried out in the institute.
This year we added a new hospital building. The departments, wards and OPDs of Medicine, Paediatric, Surgery and Orthopaedics are shifted to this building. An AC Lecture hall having seating capacity of 200 is situated at the 7th floor of this building. We are maintaining much higher bed strength than required in the hospital to fulfil the social requirement as the average daily OPD of our hospital during the year 2014 is 1803. We are still continuing to providing all the facilities of hospital in addition to two square meals to indoor patients totally free of cost to the patients.

Smt. Kashibai Navale Medical College and General Hospital is run by Sinhgad Technical Education Society which was formed in the year 1993 and runs about 90 Teaching Institutions starting from junior most school/ playgroup to highest post graduate colleges in various professional fields. The medical college and general hospital which is named after reverend mother of Prof. M.N. Navale, the founder president of STES was started in the year 2007.
From the humble beginning of 300 beds, the hospital bed strength has been increased to 800 teaching beds, 74 ICU beds, 30 Casualty beds (including 5 OBGY Casualty beds) and 4 Haemodialysis beds. We have added 3 Haemodialysis machines and an R.O. plant for dialyzing the patients of Acute/ Chronic Renal failure. All the facilities of hospital including Registration, Accommodation, Investigations, Medicines, Surgical Procedures and all type of consultation available at the hospital are provided free to the patient, who are also provided with two wholesome meals everyday of stay in the hospital without any cost to patients.
The spacious parking area has become less for the number of vehicles parked and we will have to assign some more additional area for parking purpose.
There has been Inspection of Pre and Para clinical and clinical departments by the appropriate authority for purpose of granting permission to start post graduate studies in various disciplines of pre and Para clinical subjects. There has also been increase in Teaching and Non-teaching staff, Equipment commensurate with increase in number of patients both OPD and IPD.
